Wedding Cake FAQ

Can I taste your cake flavours before I place an order?

We offer cake tasting boxes every few months. If you miss out on one we can make mini cakes if you would like to try a certain flavour. Get in touch if you would like to order one.

How far in advance do I need to order?

Totally depends on our availability! Check our booking calendar when ordering below for available dates.

What is your payment policy?

To confirm your booking a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order. Full payment is due 4 weeks prior to the event.

Do you make gluten free / dairy free / vegan / allergy friendly cakes?

We do make gluten free cakes and dairy free chocolate cake but not vegan sorry! Our chocolate cakes and vanilla / lemon cakes can be made gluten free. We do our very best to clean all equipment properly however as we use wheat flour in our kitchen at all times, there is a risk our cakes contain traces of gluten.

Can my florist do the flowers on my cake?

We like to have full control over the final design and placement of the flowers on the cake so unfortunately we do not allow the florist to do the flowers. Your florist can of course supply the flowers so they all tie in on the day.

Do you use fondant?

No we don’t sorry! All our cakes are iced with Swiss meringue buttercream.

What are the serving sizes of your cakes?

We offer a range of sizes depending on how many serves needed or the look you are after! Please note serving size is approximate and can vary depending on slice size and how the caterer cuts it. The smaller number is a dessert size serving and the larger number is a coffee size serving.

We offer a variety of flavours, however if your favourite is not there we are able to do a custom flavour. Please note we do not make a traditional fruit cake. Each tier can be a different flavour.

Ultimate flavours are an additional $15 per tier

Delivery

We offer delivery and cake set-up throughout the Wellington region. These costs are additional. We only allow pickups of single tier cakes. All tiered cakes must be delivered (for our piece of mind!!)
