TERMS & CONDITIONS
Em & Skye Cake Co. provides custom cakes and delivery to customers in Wellington, New Zealand.
If paying online we will confirm your order by email from us (not the automated email). If we are fully booked for the date you have chosen we will work with you to provide a solution, or a full refund.
If paying via bank deposit, cake orders are only confirmed and secure once a 50% deposit has been paid. Full payment is required 1 week prior to cake delivery.
If you or the recipient aren't home at the time of delivery we will leave the cake in a safe place e.g. under cover. If you have special delivery instructions e.g. somewhere you would like the cake left, make sure you let us know. We don’t accept any liability once the cake has been given to the recipient or left at the delivery address.
Please note the time of delivery is indicative and may be subject to change. We will of course let you know if this happens.
We may be able to alter your order up to 5 days before the delivery date. Please email us as soon as possible with the changes required.
As we take orders on a first come, first served basis, there are no refunds on cancellations within 7 days of delivery. If you do wish to cancel before this, there is a nonrefundable 15% administration fee.
Humidity and heat can adversely affect your cake. In the warmer months it is recommended the cake be kept either in the fridge, or an air-conditioned room. Our cakes should never be displayed in direct sunlight. If the cake is being transported after we have delivered it, ensure the air-conditioning is on. We take no liability once the cake has left out possession.
All of our cakes are made with butter, milk, cream, free-range eggs, and some are made with nuts so please advise us if you or your guests have any allergies.
As all of our cakes are individually designed and made to order, no two will be exactly the same. Specific elements may be unavailable (e.g. a particular flower) however we will try to replace these to maintain the design and quality. As cake artists we see each cake as a new and different artistic piece, with all elements hand placed so variations will occur.
If you are not happy with the final cake, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and we will discuss this with you. Please note there are no refunds for change of mind.
We reserve the right to take and use our photos of your cake in marketing and promotional purposes, without compensation to you.
