ABOUT

Growing up I was surrounded by baking. My mum was always making cakes and biscuits, especially at birthdays where she would come up with amazing cake creations for myself and my two younger sisters. Some notable ones were a cat, a butterfly, and of course a barbie doll stuck in the cake! Eventually I wanted to join in too. It always intrigued me how a specific combination of ingredients, when brought together, formed something so wonderfully aromatic and delicious. 

In the fourth and final year of my photography degree, I created a magazine all about baking, looking in particular at cakes. This made me realise that baking was what I truly wanted to do full time. After working then travelling through Europe in mid-2017, Em & Skye became a reality.
